Biological sewage treatment plants

Biological WWTP for 7-200 PE
Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP) Ekol are used for treatment of waste water from family housess, residental areas, hotels and motels, companies, production halls, farm etc. WWTP Ekol are designed in range from 1 to 30 m3/ day of waste water corespondents 7-200 population equivalent.
Advatages:
- low weight
- low demand of energy
- small dimensions
- all plastic construction
Technical description
WWTP Ekol works as mechanical-biological aerobic purification system.Treatment takes place uniformly in one packaged unit where are:
- Primary sedimentation
- Biological treatment
- Secondary setting
The technologic and operating parts of the device obey the demands of the Czech standard CSN 756402 (The small waste treatment plants ) and with bigger sedimentation tank obey also Austrian standard ÖN B 2502 and German standard DIN 4261. Waste water flow into primary sedimentation space (double chamber). This pre-treatment works by simple sedimentation. Apart of this space is reserved for anaerobic stabilisation of the sludge, its thickening and storage. Degradation of BOD5 is about 30%.
The pre-treated water flow into the space of biological purification, where there is used a progressive method TF/SC.
This method uses a combination of capabilities of bacteria. One type of bacteria are adhered on carrier (biorotary) and second ones are bacteria in fluid bed.It enables waste treatment plants keep high cleaning capability even during hydraulic and material shocks.degradation of BOD5 is after biological treatment about 95%.
Than activated mixture from the biological space (bio-zone) flows through degassing channel to the secondary setting tank (vertical type), who is at the bottom interconnected with the space of bio-zone. In this way it is ensured a fluent sludge blow off out of the setting tank and the excessive activated sludge is being re-pumped by means of a bucket into primary sedimentation tank where it is mixed with new inflow water. In sedimentation tank are stored primary sludge, flakes of activated sludge and sludge water. The sludge water flow back together with raw inflow water to the bio-zone. In this way it is ensured connection among sedimentation tank, bio-zone and secondary setting tank.
The effluent trough is equipped by measuring overflow for possibility to find out amount of water and to facilitate sampling. There can be ultrasonic detector of level on the overflow together with device of discharge evaluation.
